‘Tis the season to buy loads of Christmas gifts for teachers. Ours do really well out of the bank of mum and dad – the teacher and TA end up getting a £150 bluewater voucher. Whilst I always contribute and am in awe of the hard work teachers put in to the kiddies I think the present situation has gone crazy. When I was at school it was a box of roses and a handmade card.
For those that don’t do collections I think home made gifts are always lovely. It’s so easy to go on to amazon and buy presentation bags and boxes to make your stuff look really cute. I got the recipe for this from Tamingtwins. She makes gorgeous food and stunning pictures. I had never thought of making fudge in the microwave – I have always done it the old fashioned way. But this is just so quick. Charlie (10) did most of the work , I just supervised with the microwave.
I used M & S mince pie Irish cream – I mean, don’t judge before you have tasted – it literally tastes like liquid mince pies! I think it would be great as a flavouring – I can imagine it would make a lovely ice cream.
This fudge is
great for all seasons – all gifts and all flavours – give it a go!
350 g Dark chocolate
350 g Milk chocolate
397 g Condensed milk
150 ml mine pie Irish cream

Grab a large microwave proof bowl add all ingredients and place in the microwave checking and stirring at 30 sec intervals until the chocolate has melted
Remove from the microwave- stir really well
Line a 22cm square brownie tin with grease proof paper

Once set cut into small squares – it’s is very rich!
