I love Salmon, I mean I really❤️it. Only good quality and definitely not wild Alaskan salmon. I don’t know what it is about that type of fish, but I hate the texture and the flavour is really earthy. It’s not my thang. My friend Sara who lives in Oregon tells me I haven’t tasted proper wild salmon yet, so, I will only attach the above comments to the stuff we get over here, it’s about half the price and there is a reason for that IMHO!!
I love it when you cook a fillet to perfection and it’s really creamy, flaky and melts in your mouth. Hot smoked, smoked, poached, fried, pate, in puff pastry I can’t get enough of the stuff.
One of my fav meals is griddled salmon, watercress and garlicky dill potatoes. I would love to be sitting out on the sofa in the garden eating that right now. Instead it’s chucking it down with rain and I have about 5 jumpers on!
