I think most kids love pasta, as do I – but I am off the big carbs at the mo. It’s a “go to” for us. We always have some ingredients to concoct a random pasta combo. However, this dish is a firm fav. It is so quick and much nicer than any ready made sauce. And doesn’t take that much extra effort at all. One frying pan and few ingredients. No nasties like you get in those jars. Give it a go and let me know how you get on.
1 tablespoon chopped garlic (ready chopped frozen)
2 tablespoon finely chopped basil (frozen chopped)
1 can good quality chopped tomatoes
Olive oil
1 teaspoon bouillon
A load of black olives
Macaroni pasta
Salt and pepper
Grated Parmesan
Fry the garlic and basil in a generous glug of olive oil
Then add the tomatoes, bouillon and olives.
Cook down for around 5 mins on a medium flame
Cook the pasta as usual
Before draining keep a little water back inside the pot.
Then add the sauce
Serve with the cheese of your liking and fresh basil.
