Poppy loves dairy and has always favoured yoghurt over many other desserts. A go to dessert is Greek yoghurt, some kind of berries and roasted seeds. It’s quick and easy for a 6 year old to put together independently. Tbh I love it too, I would go raspberry over blueberry. I love the sharpness of raspberries, we always have them in the freezer. The other day I caught Poppy coming up the stairs as I was going down. She had her hands buried in her jumper which she was casually carrying and saying they were cold. I didn’t think much of it until I called up to her 10 minutes later for lunch. No reply, now she’s a sneaky little creature and silence is never a good thing. I went upstairs to her room and there she was, face covered in red. For a second I thought she had hurt herself. “I have hurt my hand mummy and have blood all over it”. I looked down but the blood was more purple than I would have expected, I pulled her covers back and, oh my- the bed looked like an animal had been slaughtered inside it. Everything was scarlet and in the middle was a screwed up jumper with about a bags worth of frozen raspberries inside. I mean, I obvs shouted but parked the memory thinking I could remind her of this when she was older.
Some kids steal chocolate and have it coated all over their faces, not mine, its frozen fruit all the way!
